Aeroflot – Finance, a 100% associated company of «Aeroflot – Russian Airlines», has purchased 49% shares of “Nordavia – Regional Airlines” from a private shareholder. Thus, Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has gained consolidated control over 100% share of “Nordavia”.

“Nordavia – regional airlines” is one of the leading Russian airlines in the North-Western Federal District of the Russian Federation. Nordavias own route network includes 16 Russian regions with 35% of the country’s population. The company operates around 60 flights daily, 50 from which under code-sharing agreement with Aeroflot, including the Arkhangelsk-Murmansk-Tromsø route.
Nordavia is a member of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA). In 2009 the airline has carried about 1.1 million passengers (1 096 160), while the plan for 2010 is 1,5 million passengers.
In the nearest perspective “Nordavia – regional airlines” sees itself as a major feeder regional airline in the North-Western Federal District of the Russian Federation. This goal will be achieved through active utilization of the airline’s modern air fleet.
