Statoil and Rosneft sign agreement about Joint Venture for development projects in Barents Sea and Okhot Sea

Russian gas price for Germany rose 33.7 percent in a year

The average price for Russian natural gas delivered to the German border increased by 33.7 percent to USD 439.9 per 1,000 cubic meters in February compared to the same month last year. Gazprom will get voting rights in regional German gas supplier VNG

Gazprom may in the future exercise its voting rights for the shares which the Russian gas giant holds in East Germany's largest gas supplier, Verbundnetz Gas AG (VNG). The German Antitrust Authority has on Friday stated that they will approve that Gazprom may exercise the voting rights of its minority interest of 10.52 percent of VNG. The final decision will be made by the end of the month.

Russia got support of major global gas exporters over need of cooperation

Russia has won the support of the world’s 12 largest natural-gas exporters over the need to cooperate in developing projects for production and sale of the fuel to raise prices and boost supply at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Doha on Wednesday. Russia’s Energy Minister Sergey Shmatko has described this as an integral part of the Russian energy diplomacy. This is reported by the news service Voice of Russia.
Russia's government to confirm development plan for the country's Arctic shelf in December
