Russia`s gas export up 56 percent from January to May

The Russian natural gas exports have increased from January to May 2010 by 56.4 percent compared to the same period the previous year. The total export volume has been up to 67.4 billion cubic meters.
Russia received 18.7 billion U.S. dollars in this period for the delivered natural gas to foreign countries. The payments for gas exports in the same period of 2009 were at 12,9 U.S. dollars.
50 billion cubic meters have been delivered to non-member states of the CIS during the first five months of this year. In the same period last year Russia had delivered 37.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas to those countries.
