Medvedev will present proposals for new government on 15 May

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will on May 15 present to President Putin a proposal for the structure and composition of the new government cabinet, said the government's press office. In accordance with the law "On Government" the prime minister has to deliver the proposal within a week after taking office.

In Siberia and the Russian Far East have at least 50,000 people participated in demonstrations in support of current Prime Minister and presidential candidate Vladimir Putin. In big cities like Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod ten thousands of participants were braving the severe cold. The largest demonstration was held in Khabarovsk in the Far East of Russia, where about 12,000 people were there to support Putin, Russian news agencies reported. Also in St. Petersburg were at least 10,000 Putin supporters on the street.
