Murmansk Regional Administration will be downsized 6 – 10 percent in 2010
[14.07.10] Murmansk Governor Dmitrij Dmitrienko plans to reduce the number of regional officials by 6 -10 percent this year, according to barentsnova.com.
The downsize process started in 2009 for the reasons of cost-efficiency. 2009 wiped off over 100 officials from the staff list thus saving up 36 million RUB for the regional budget.
This year, 6-10 percent more of the officials will be dismissed, writes barentsnova.com The plan is to shrink the administration staff down by 20% within three years till 2012.
The functions that were implemented by those officials will be transferred to other state organizations or will be outsourced, said Murmansk Governor Dmitrij Dmitrienko.
The funds saved up should reach at least 50 million RUB annually.
